Gangs and Thugs - Terrorism is now in Australia

Saturday, February 24th, 2007

Gangs of youths roam our streets at night, rolling innocent people, robbing and injuring them for money, jewelery and mobile phones. Not content to rob them of money, these gang members take great pleasure in bashing a near killing their victims.

I was watching the telly the other day and on Channel 9’s A Current Affair they ran a story on the growing problem of young thugs who were members of violent gangs in Sydney or Melbourne, I’m not sure what city they were in but, it doesn’t matter much because the gangs are in every state of Australia. The guys they interviewed were from two rival ethnic groups. One being from the Pacific region and the other from a middle easterm origin. (more…)

Viagra type Drug Given to Convicted Sexual Predator

Sunday, November 19th, 2006

I was reading the Sunday Mail(Adelaide Sunday newspaper) and came across a story claiming that a convicted murderer serving a life sentence was givenĀ Ciallis because he was having problems getting it up.

cialis2.jpgBan Spencer von Einem, was prescibed this impotence drug for a sexual functionality problem he had. This sexual predator was having problems getting an erection in goal? What the? Why would you give such a man a drug that would make sex possible for him. Wouldnt you be wanting to actually cut his dick off?

People! von Einem is one of the worst sexual predators this country has ever produced and it boggles my mind as to why he would want the drug in the first place. He is in goal. In a gaol full of men!

Youth Suicide Pact

Wednesday, November 15th, 2006

As a follow up to my topic on cyber bullying, a rumour is spreading around Adelaide mental health circles that a group of Adelaide youths have made a suicide pact and so far 6 teenages have committed suicide.

Kept hush, hush apparently there are fears a group of eastern suburbs youths have rallied together and made an oath to kill themselves. An anonumous source said that a number of mental professionals know of this secret pact and are now investigating the rumours. If true, one has to ask ones self, why would a number of youths give such a pact and what frame of mind were the six deceased pact members in when they made that fatal decision. (more…)

Cyber Bullying Online and Text Messages

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

I was reading our local Community Paper last night and was shocked to read an excert claiming Cyber Bullying in our suburb was a growing problem in our State Schools.

bullying.jpgCyber Bullying if you don’t know, is the use of mobile phone, internet and chat service in particular to bully and harass and intimidate vulnerable kids and teachers by bullies. They use the the protection of the internet to remaim anonymous while they attack a child or adult with verbal or written text messages threatening to hurt them or spead rumours which are not true, but while cause the child or adult to feel bad about tyhemselves.

Some of these attacks are so severe, they cause long term problems, with some of the most severe attacks particularly with teenages, contributing to suicide.

Earlier this week I wrote an article called “50 years of the ABC”. It highlighted a trend within our younger generation of violence, especially towards other teenages. Cyber Bullying as just another violent act targeting vulnerable people especially on the net and mobile phone users. State Schools have noticed a growing trend in pupils becoming more violent, in particular over the internet and text messaging. (more…)

50 Years on ABC Television

Monday, November 6th, 2006

I watched the ABC tonight and they were showing a program called 50 years of Televison and being a child of the 60’s, I was moved to see stories I grew up with. From Cyclone Tracy blowing Darwin into the Timor Sea on Christmas eveĀ of 1974 to Aboriginal Rights and the change over of pounds, shillings and pence.

happy_slapping.jpgGeez I feel old. I was born in the year of the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games and I have lived through the Vietnam War, Fauklands War, Desert Storm, 911, Pakistan and now the War in Iraq. What makes men justify such horror?

911 was one of the most horrific things I have ever witnessed in my life. Each and every night, news broadcasters broadcast more and more stories stained in blood and pain. But one of the most traumatic stories that shook me to the core, was aired on A Current affair a few weeks ago. I think it was called “Happy Slapping”.
